SINCE CAMILLA, THE DUCHESS OF CORNWALL, HELPED HERSELF TO PRINCESS DIANA'S HUSBAND PRINCE CHARLES, IT'S NO SUPRISE THAT SHE'S raided the Princess's jewelry box too.
Camilla attended the annual Cheltenham Festival's Ladies Day event in her usual boring garb and added an ugly brown hat trimmed with fur. But it wasn't her usual dowdy affect that Royal watchers were buzzing about but the brooch she was wearing: a "Prince Of Wales feathers pendant" identical to the one worn by the late Princess of Wales.
Has Camille pinched a piece from Diana's jewel box?
The Daily Mail alleges that the piece, the Prince's three-feathered insignia with an emerald drop, was last seen on Princess Diana upon her engagement to Prince Charles. The royal bling was believed to be a gift to Diana from Queen Elizabeth, her then future mother-in-law.
After Diana's death in 1997, the pendant was returned to the Queen and regifted back to Camilla when she married her longtime lover Prince Charles in 2005.
Considering that "the rottweiler" destroyed Diana's marriage and took great joy in carrying on her menage a trois; Camilla should have the decency to keep her paws off anything that belonged to Britain's "Queen of Hearts." Camilla and Charles were publicly committing adultery while still married to others, and I'm sure Queen E. was horrified when she found out that her son had desires to be a "tampon."
Diana's personal jewelry went to her two sons after her death, but the pieces that came from the Royal Family, like this pendant/brooch and the Queen Mary tiara, were returned to the Queen because they were only considered to be on loan.
It's one thing for a woman's beloved son to give his fiance a ring that belonged to his mother, as Prince William did with his mother's engagement ring. It's quite another for the mistress who made Diana's life a living hell to take over her bling!
