Thank goodness there are new laws regarding suntan booths and lots of warnings for those who insist on looking like Cameron Diaz's neighbour in the film Something About Mary. In a WTH moment a caring mother has been accused of putting her 5 year-old child in a tanning booth somewhere in the bowels of New Jersey.
Of course Mother of the Year Patricia Krentcil told NBC that she did indeed bring her child along to the salon, but the girl was never exposed to UV rays in the booth. (wink wink nudge nudge say no more say no more)
But where did her little girl get that bad sunburn?
"I tan, she doesn't tan," Krentcil said on NBC. "I'm in the booth, she's in the room. That's all there is to it."
Dad , Rich Krentcil said his daughter was sunburned from playing outside on a warm day. However Mum has been charged by the Essex County Prosecutor's office for child endangerment after school officials reported that the kindergarten girl had a severe sunburn and looked like a toaster strudel.
Dad has temporary custody and let's hope he keeps her away from the microwave. Mom on the other hand is a real beauty and doesn't look a day over 97, and does anyone notice the smoke coming off her skin? Good thing the child has been rescued from a mother that looks like a covergirl for Melanoma Tomorrow!
