The Decatur Alabama Police have just charged Kristi Thurman with assault on her dear old grandma. It seems that Thurman has allegedly been running a meth lab and wanted Grandma out of the way.
Last week investigators were called to investigate a damage and complaint call and while searching the home they found Granddaughter Kirsti with all the components she needed to manufacture meth. Grandma had kindly given Thurman and her boyfriend a roof over their head and in appreciation they began to tamper her milk after an argument.
Seems like Granny was no Hillbilly and later that same day she called up the cop shop to say she wasn't feeling that hot. She feared someone had been "arsenic and old-lacing" her and been spiking her milk with poison.
"Her grandmother reported that she drank some milk out of a milk jug and fell ill," said Decatur Police Lt. John Crouch. "Officers discovered what they believed to be fuel oil poured in to the milk, and based on that, a warrant was obtained for Kristi Thurman for 2nd degree assault."
Grammy Omie, 71, was rushed to the hospital and word is she is going to be okay. Boy, that is almost a whole new meaning to the words: 'being lit'!
"In almost 18 years, this is the first time I've actually seen anyone have any form of retribution towards someone making a complaint against them," said Crouch. "It's certainly something we take very seriously and additional charges are possible."
Granddaughter Thurman is being held in the Decatur City Jail, awaiting transfer to the Morgan County Jail.
A lesson to all of you, meth lab or not:
Never ever mess with Grandma!
